Cruise will aid Women’s Resource Centre
A local promotion group has set its sights on hosting one of the biggest boat parties to coincide with the Non Mariners Race on Sunday in aid of charity.Part proceeds from the Ultimate Non-Mariners Dance Party Cruise on August 4 on board the MV Elizabeth will go to the Women’s Resource Centre.Spokesman for the promoters, Khomeini Taalib-Din said the event is designed to bring expats, tourists and Bermudians together for what has become a post Cup Match tradition.Said Mr Taalib-Din: “I believe that the issues that women face affect families and families make up the community.“By supporting women in their struggles, people are in fact working to build stronger communities.”The boat, which holds an average of 200 passengers, leaves Albuoy’s Point at 11.30am on Sunday and departs from Mangrove Bay, Sandys at 5pm.For more information e-mail workhardplayhardbda@gmail.com or www.facebook.com/WorkHardPlayHardEntertainment or Twitter @whphent.
