Front Street’s signature flagpole has been restored: after a hiatus of several months, the new, 85ft pole was put in place yesterday.Engineers used a crane to erect the structure during the quietest day of the week.The former flagpole was retired after four decades’ service. As of last night, there was no word from the City as to when the new flag would be hoisted.
