Garden Club awards

The Garden Club of Bermuda has awarded six green-thumbed students with its 2013 Scholarship Awards.
In a presentation last week, Huston Eugene Carter II, Denzel Simons, Deborah Joan Collins, Arthur Begeman, Kyle Furbert and Taylor Gorham each received scholarships to continue their studies abroad.
Mr Simons, Mr Begeman and Mr Furbert are studying environmental science, while Mr Carter is studying golf corporations and Ms Collins is working toward floristry diploma levels two and thee.
Mr Gorham, meanwhile, is enrolled in a one-year Masters programme in Conservation Science.
The Garden Club of Bermuda has handed out several scholarship awards recently.
