GSPIC launches ‘Gift of Giving’ charity drive

Gina Spence Productions in Christ (GSPIC) is hoping to raise $20,000 to support needy seniors and children during the holiday season.

The charity formally launched its “Gift of Giving” campaign yesterday in an effort to raise funds for healthy food items for children and gift cards for seniors to help them purchase medical items.

A spokeswoman for the charity said: “This year [we] will distribute healthy food packs to needy children Island wide.

“More specifically, GSPIC has developed a database of children they supported with school uniforms and healthy food items in the past year.

“Some are victims — children as young as three years old who were left behind by gun violence.”

The organisation will be distributing the healthy food gift packets and gift cards for seniors on December 7 at the Bermuda Broadcasting Company offices, with a number of local entertainers performing.

Donations can be made at any checkout register at the Island’s six Phoenix Stores, Brown & Company or P-Tech, or directly to Gina Spence Productions’ HSBC bank account, No. 002-051928-001 before November 30.

Donors are asked to mark the donation “For Seniors” or “For Children” respectively.
