A 25-year-old man has admitted running up $12,755 in charges on two credit cards stolen from Senator James Jardine.

Magistrates’ Court heard Malik Cann, of no fixed abode, made the charges at a variety on Pembroke businesses, starting on February 13 up to February 18, when he tried to buy $5,500 of goods from Swiss Timing.

Cann pleaded guilty to all the offences this morning, telling Senior Magistrate Archibald Warner the crime spree was due to drugs and alcohol.

Purchases included bar bills, pizza and bets.

Mr Warner ordered a psychological report, remanding Cann for sentencing on April 28.
