West end motorists are being warned to expect traffic delays while Belco crews carry out repairs to underground cables on Sunday and Monday.

The work on Middle Road near the junction of Burnt House Hill in Warwick is expected to start tomorrow and continue into Monday evening.

A Belco spokesman said that sections of road will have to be dug up in order to access the fault.

“On Sunday, crews will begin excavating, so that an underground transmission cable can be repaired,” the spokesman said.

“Repair work will commence on Monday, which may affect both the morning and evening commutes. The work is scheduled for completion late Monday night. Belco thanks motorists for their patience, as this essential repair is made.”
