Argus gives PRIDE Bermuda a financial boost

PRIDE Bermuda’s Promoting Alternative Thinking Strategies (PATHS) initiative has received a boost after the anti-drug group received a donation allowing them to expand the programme to Elliot Primary school.

Executive director Judith Burgess said she was “extremely grateful” for the donation, made by the Argus Group.

“We feel that the programme is particularly important for younger students who aren’t sure how to process their emotions. We believe that learning to cope with emotions such as sadness, anger, grief and loss at an early age is key to minimising social issues later in life, whether it’s due to a shooting, death or even divorce,” said Ms Burgess.

“We are pleased to assist PRIDE Bermuda with their Student Assistance programme,” added Argus Group CEO Alison Hill.

“We recognise that increasingly, children face difficult situations that they need to find a positive way of coping with in today’s world. We believe that the PATHS programme provides children with the tools that they need at an early age to help them in later life.”
