The One Bermuda Alliance today donated $5,000 to two local charities on the back of a Fun Golf fundraiser held in April.

The Women’s Resource Centre and Saving Children and Revealing Secrets (SCARS) each received a cheque of $2,500, presented by OBA party chairman Thad Hollis and deputy chairwoman Karen Magnum.

Mr Hollis said the “fun-raiser” presented a chance to not only raise funds but to also raise awareness about the charities.

“This is also an opportunity for us to profile two very, very worthwhile charities to support the vulnerable in our community — the Women’s Resource Centre and SCARS. And it is indeed our pleasure, as a result of that very successful event on the fifth of April, we are able to give a donation of $2,500 to each of these very worthwhile charities that are very near and dear to all of our hearts.”
