Police are warning the public to keep their motorbikes properly secured after a spate of thefts.
A police spokesman said: “Recently there has been an increase in motorcycles and auxiliary cycles reported stolen from various locations throughout the Island.
“Members of the public are reminded to ensure that before leaving their motorcycle or auxiliary cycle unattended, it is secured with a good quality motorcycle lock, in addition to the handlebar lock. When parking a motorcycle or auxiliary cycle outside overnight, it should be appropriately secured and left in a busy, well-lit area if at all possible.”
The spokesman added that any suspicious individuals or activity near parked motorcycles should be reported to the police at 295-0011.
