Slay ‘dem! Uzimon launches Kickstarter for Europe tour
Bermudian performer Uzimon is set to take to the stage at a series of festivals in the UK — but first he needs the support of his fans.
Uzimon, also known as Daniel Frith, recently launched a campaign on the fundraising website Kickstarter in an effort to raise $8,000 in donations to pay for the trip, which would include performances at the Boomtown Fair, Bestival on the Isle of Wight, the Notting Hill Carnival and the Secret Garden Party among other events.
The campaign website says: “The festivals are booked and we are confident that once funding is secured everything else will fall into place.
“After we are fully funded, we do not foresee any major challenges. This part is in fact, the biggest challenge: Cost. If there are logistical challenges such as flight delays, transportation disruptions or broken down tour vans, we will plug into our support base in the UK, as we are receiving unprecedented logistical support from our agency and have no doubts they will be overcome.
“Once we are funded, nothing is stopping us from going to the UK and making the fans proud.”
The funds raised will help pay for plane tickets, travel costs, accommodations, van rentals, the creation of limited edition tour T-shirts and film a short documentary.
If the campaign reaches it’s funding goal by the afternoon of June 18, donors can receive music, stickers, shirts and even a personal training session with Uzimon based on the size of their contribution.
As of yesterday afternoon, the campaign had raised just over $2,300 from 32 backers.
