Bermudian author Janet Wingate is launching the second edition of her novel ‘Nonsuch Summer’ with a book signing at the Bermuda Book Store this evening (Wednesday) during Harbour Nights.

Ms Wingate, daughter of famed conservationist David Wingate, won the 2008 Bermuda Government literary prize for teen and young adult fiction for the book, which has since been taught in Bermuda’s schools.

It tells the story of her childhood on Nonsuch Island, including Dr Wingate’s efforts to save the cahow or Bermuda petrel.
