A 76-year-old man was robbed outside his home in St George’s by a lone assailant in the early hours of Sunday, according to police.

The senior is still recovering from his injuries on a general ward at King Edward VII Memorial Hospital and is said to be in a stable condition.

A Bermuda Police Service spokesman said officers were investigating the incident, which happened at about 1am on Barry Lane.

He said: “A 52-year-old St George’s woman was subsequently arrested in connection with this matter and remains in police custody pending further inquiries.”
