Two Bermuda Reserve Police officers joined forces with Canadian officers at a recent workshop at Dalhousie University in Halifax, Canada.
Deputy Commandant Ron-Machel Davis and Reserve Inspector Shawn Russell, together with 22 police officers from across Alberta and Saskatchewan, took part in the three-day programme aimed at helping them coach other law enforcement officers. A Royal Canadian Mounted Police (RCMP) spokesman said: “This Police leadership course is based on sports coaching principles.
“Great coaches in sport have helped athletes excel for decades. Police personnel can use these same techniques to enhance their performance and leadership.”
