Hollywood icon Michael Douglas has turned the page on a new decade with his 70th birthday yesterday.

The son of Bermudian actress Diana Dill and actor Kirk Douglas, Mr Douglas, a US citizen, also holds Bermudian status.

Yesterday also marked the 45th birthday of his wife, Welsh actress Catherine Zeta-Jones.

The couple no longer reside in Bermuda, but Mr Douglas is said to visit often, as the part-owner of the Ariel Sands property in Devonshire, which is potentially up for redevelopment.
