The trail of wreckage left by Tropical Storm Fay has prompted several schools to close tomorrow.

All Government schools will remain closed so that the necessary assessments can continue to be conducted.

A spokeswoman added: “It should be noted however that teachers have been asked to attend their respective schools and assist their principals in ensuring school readiness.”

As of 4pm today seven schools had announced that they would be shut on Monday.

The closures affect: Warwick Academy, Mount Saint Agnes Academy, Bermuda High School for Girls, St Georges Prep, Saltus, Saltus Cavendish and Somersfield Academy.

A police statement released this afternoon stated: “All teachers are asked with the exclusion of St. Georges Prep to come in tomorrow (Monday) to assist with clean up.”
