Gaming to be discussed at town hall meeting

Roulette Wheel and Marble Spinning ¬ Gambling and Gaming

Gaming will be the hot topic at a town hall meeting being held by the PLP’s Constituency 33 tomorrow evening.

The meeting will be held at 7pm at Somers Isle Lodge and intends to inform the constituency’s voters about the Bermuda Government’s proposed Gaming Bill, while gathering opinion on the “critical issue”.

Jamahl Simmons, the MP for Constituency 33, said: “Gaming represents a huge step for Bermuda and, while Bermudians have been denied the opportunity to express their will through a gaming referendum, we want to ensure that the people of Sandys South have the chance to express themselves, prior to the vote in Parliament.

“While I personally support gaming for Bermuda, my view on this matter is secondary to the collective view of the people I represent.

“Therefore, I encourage constituents to attend this town hall meeting and let your voices be heard.”

While this meeting is intended to give the voters of Constituency 33 a voice, all are welcome to attend.
