Free school backpacks and supplies for needy

Free school backpacks will be given out to families in need on Saturday, courtesy of Restoration Ministries.
The group has 140 backpacks, which will be available from the Bermuda Institute's auditorium on Middle Road, Southampton, from 10am. Bags with supplies will be given out on a first-come, first-served basis.
Restoration Ministries launched the initiative last year with 100 backpacks — this year's additional 40 bags have been donated by a local family.
