Community meeting on restorative justice
Created: Nov 18, 2015 07:00 AM
A public presentation at Cathedral Hall last night sought to teach the community about the benefits of “restorative justice”.
The event, from 6pm to 8.30pm, comprised a series of talks from members of the Bermuda Police Service, Restorative Justice Bermuda and victim awareness programme Sycamore Tree.
Restorative justice is a voluntary scheme in which criminals meet their victims face-to-face, allowing the former to grasp the impact of their antisocial behaviour, and the latter to find closure.
