Morning crashes cause minor injuries
A motorist had to be freed from his vehicle after he crashed into a wall in Southampton yesterday.
According to a police spokesman, shortly after 9am emergency services received a report of a single-vehicle accident on South Road near Church Bay.
“Details are limited but it appears that a man was driving in his car when he lost control of his vehicle and hit a wall resulting in the car being overturned with the lone occupant being trapped inside,” the spokesman said.
“The Bermuda Fire and Rescue Service were on scene and extricated the man from the vehicle. It appears that the victim was physically unharmed.”
Emergency services also responded to a crash on North Shore Road near Radnor Road in Hamilton Parish at around 8.30am today.
“It appears that two cars and a motorcyclist collided resulting in the rider of the cycle being conveyed to the hospital where he was treated for minor injuries,” he said.
He added that both incidents are being investigated.
