Scholarships are to be handed out as a result of the annual Tomasz Tabor Memorial Golf Tournament and Raffle.

A $10,000 scholarship for overseas studies and two $5,000 scholarships for local studies will be announced this summer, with a further $5,000 going on sponsorship of a junior chef culinary programme in July.

According to a press release, the event last September, at Riddell’s Bay Golf Club, raised $25,000 which was donated to the Bermuda Hospitality Institute.

The third annual tournament and raffle is scheduled for Monday, September 19. Students interested in applying for a scholarship should do so before Friday, June 17, by visiting www.bermudascholarships.com.
