An evening of “thanks and prayer” will take place in St George on Thursday night in the wake of Hurricane Nicole.

The gathering has been organised by St George’s MP, Kenneth Bascome, with the help of local pastors and will take place between 6pm and 7pm in the Town Square.

“As an island we have once again been spared the wrath of Mother Nature, “ Mr Bascome said. “I just felt this was an opportunity for us as Bermudians to come together and say a prayer of thanks for being offered the protection of The Almighty.

“I would also like to thank the Mayor and the Corporation of St George for offering us the use of the Town Square.”
