Florence Henderson, the actress and singer familiar to local viewers of a certain age as Carol Brady from sitcom The Brady Bunch, has died at the age of 82.

Ms Henderson, who has appeared several times on Dancing with the Stars, made two calls on the island last year aboard the Veendam that caught the attention of American press.

She embarked on two tours of Dancing with the Stars: At Sea on board the ship in June 2015.

Henderson’s passing yesterday was attributed to a heart attack.
