US Ospreys are visiting Bermuda conducting technical stop inspections.
Two Osprey aircraft from the US Marine Medium Tiltrotor Squadron 261 are in Bermuda conducting an inspection to see if the island is suitable for future potential technical stops.
They arrived from Jacksonville, North Carolina on Monday afternoon and are due to conduct their site surveys in the coming days before departing by Thursday.
Aaron Adderley, the general manager at LF Wade International Airport told The Royal Gazette: “We have a number of military aircraft not only from the US but also the UK and Egyptian militaries, where aircraft are having to stop here for rest stops for crew or refuelling. We refer to all of that as tech stops.”
