Canadian tourist in medical emergency

A 25-year-old woman is in intensive care after suffering a medical emergency at the Hamilton Princess.

Police attended the hotel when the Canadian visitor was taken ill at about 1.20pm yesterday, and found she was already being treated by paramedics.

She was taken to the King Edward VII Memorial Hospital by ambulance, and at 10am today was said to be receiving treatment in the Intensive Care Unit.

Police say enquiries into the circumstances surrounding the incident, and the hotel declined to comment when contacted by The Royal Gazette.
