Gold rooms set standard at Princess
The Hamilton Princess is starting the new year with a host of newly renovated Fairmont Gold Rooms.
Roydell Neverson, director of rooms, described the Fairmont Gold experience as a hotel within the hotel, with guests led to a new Gold Lounge for check-in before visiting the luxury rooms and suites.
Among the new amenities in the rooms are balconies overlooking Hamilton Harbour and newly commissioned art.
So far, Mrs Neverson said the new 71 Gold rooms — including seven suites — have received rave reviews from guests.
“The business so far has been great,” she said. “The suites are spectacular, the views overlooking the Hamilton Harbour and our marina are very popular, and families have been enjoying them as well
“The Club Lounge has also been a favourite for guests. They can have their deluxe continental breakfast, afternoon tea, hors d’oeuvres and other services.
“Personally, my favourite thing about the new rooms are the views, along with the balconies. Even the city views overlooking Hamilton are beautiful. The new art in all of the rooms is also amazing.”
The newly renovated rooms are just one part of the $100 million renovation project at the hotel, which includes new restaurants, a new marina, a new retail corridor and an art collection featuring work by Andy Warhol, Banksy and Damien Hurst.
