A police press conference regarding the scheduled reconvening of parliament on Friday was hastily cancelled this afternoon.

It was expected that Commissioner of Police, Michael DeSilva, would address the potential for another protest regarding the airport redevelopment deal.

However, no explanation was given for the cancellation which came only 20 minutes before the conference was set to begin.

It was the second press conference cancelled today with the PLP calling for a meeting with the media, regarding the airport project.

That, too, was called off this morning.
