Truck overboard in Hamilton parish

A truck ended in the water in Hamilton parish after a collision — but the driver was unharmed.

Police and Bermuda Fire and Rescue Service personnel responded to reports of a collision, which resulted in the truck careering through bushes and into the water, at 2.30pm today.

A police spokesperson said: “Details are limited at this time. However, initial information suggests that the truck went over an embankment in the Cottage Hill Road, Abbot's Crescent area.

“Apparently the driver of the truck was able to escape unharmed. An update will be provided if additional information becomes available.”
