Police identify man found dead in Sandys

Rohan Simons has been identified as the man who was found in an unresponsive state at a Sandys property on Sunday.

Police reiterated that foul play is not suspected in the death of the 45-year-old but a spokesman said an autopsy is anticipated.

“The Bermuda Police Service can now confirm the death of 45-year-old Rohan C. Simons and extends sincere condolences to his family and friends,” he stated. “Mr Simons was found in an unresponsive state around 11.10am Sunday at a property in the Spar Lane, Craddock Road, Sandys area and later pronounced dead at that location by an on call doctor.

“As previously stated foul play is not suspected.

“However, an autopsy is anticipated.”

A police spokesman clarified that the deceased is not Rohaan Simons, the Southampton Rangers cricketer and athletics coach.
