Police have named the man who was found unconscious in his boat on Monday evening and was later pronounced dead.

Calvin Carmichael, aged 55, was discovered in a 24 ft boat, moored in the waters off Lagoon Park dock, around 7.40pm.

Members of the public assisted police officers in securing the vessel to the dock, where emergency medical personnel began life-saving efforts.

However, Mr Carmichael was later pronounced dead at the scene by an on call doctor.

Foul play is not suspected, said a police spokesman. An autopsy is anticipated.
