Shopping event raises $4,000 for Red Cross

AS Cooper & Sons has presented the Bermuda Red Cross with more than $4,000 following a Shop to Support event.
Customers were offered 20 per cent off their purchase if they donated $5 or more to the charity during Red Cross Week in May. A total of $4,423.50 was raised.
A spokeswoman for the store said: “The event was wildly successful with many customers choosing to to give back. We would like to thank all those who shopped during that time and supported the event.
“The Bermuda Red Cross is an organisation that works very hard to help Bermudians by providing health and social services as well as helping those in crisis.”
