The Progressive Labour Party’s annual delegates conference continues in Devonshire tonight.

Owen Darrell, PLP chairman, said he was pleased by the turnout for the first night of the conference in Hamilton on Wednesday.

He also welcomed the “positive feedback” after the 52nd conference kicked off at St Paul Centennial Hall.

Mr Darrell said: “It is refreshing to see such interest in our conference.

“The party and the Parliamentary group are working diligently to deliver for Bermuda, and thank the community for their support.”

Speakers included David Burt, the Premier and Minister of Finance, MP Rolfe Commissiong and Kathy Simmons, the PLP leader in the Senate.

The party said Mr Burt gave an update on the party’s 21 goals for its first 100 days in power.

The conference continues at Devonshire Recreation Club beginning at 6pm tonight.
