A charity supporting children in need will raise funds with a night market on Friday, November 17.

The annual festive and exotic evening for KatKids will give supporters a head start on their holiday shopping as well as generating cash for youngsters in Bermuda, Nepal and Africa.

Chairwoman of KatKids, Jennie Lee O’Donnell, said: “With new, never-before-featured products sourced directly from Nepal, Morocco and all over, more than ever the market gives people a unique opportunity to enjoy a festive atmosphere and find beautiful and unusual gifts for the upcoming holiday season.

“It is even better that you know that 100 per cent of the profits and donations from the event go directly to support children in need here in Bermuda as well as Nepal and Africa.”

KatKids is completely run by volunteers, meaning after paying for the items on sale and banking fees, every penny raised from the market is put to work for children in need of food, shelter, healthcare or education.

Event manager and director of KatKids, Francesca Cacace, said: “You absolutely should not miss the exotic atmosphere of the KatKids Night Market with happy hour drinks and food prices all evening. The low $10 entrance price is 100 per cent earmarked for The Eliza DoLittle Society to feed hungry people in Bermuda.”

The night market at the BAA gym will feature the exotic sights, sounds and smells of Nepal and Africa, with a variety of themed market stalls offering Pan-African arts, crafts, beaded and silver jewellery, baskets, brass items and artwork.

Tickets are available at bdatix.bm or from Stefanel on Reid Street, or at the door from 5.30pm
