Fifty first responders have been honoured by the Hamilton Princess and Beach Club.

The emergency medical technicians and firefighters were invited to a luncheon as part of the WelcomeHeroes initiative from the hotel’s parent company AccorHotels.

They were selected by the Bermuda Hospitals Board Chief EMT Officer and the Fire Commissioner.

Diarmaid O’Sullivan, director of marketing at Hamilton Princess, said: “This is our way of showing our appreciation for the everyday heroes in the community, who do so much for us.”

Throughout November, AccorHotels is honouring everyday heroes such as firefighters, nurses, teachers, craftspeople, small businesses and local residents who work each day to serve their communities.
