A Bermudian man who died after suffering a medical emergency on board a Jet Blue flight has been named as Sotunji Burgess.

Mr Burgess died of “natural causes”, according to a statement released by police yesterday

afternoon.

The 37-year-old was on a flight from New York to Bermuda on Sunday when he became unresponsive.

He was later pronounced dead despite life-saving efforts from the airline’s crew as well as local EMTs.

“An autopsy of the deceased has been completed and the results verify that he died of natural causes,” a spokesman said.
