KFC backs charity for children

A treat voucher campaign will, for the fourth year, support a local charity organisation.

KFC’s annual effort will this year support Big Brothers Big Sisters Bermuda. All funds will benefit the mentoring programme. This is the second year the initiative has supported Big Brothers Big Sisters Bermuda.

Patrina O’Connor-Paynter, managing director at Big Brothers Big Sisters Bermuda said, that the organisation was “delighted” to again partner with the restaurant chain. “We all know how exciting this time of year is for young children, and to be included in an initiative that will help benefit the members of our organisation, is a wonderful opportunity.”

Ginene Haslam, general manager of KFC, said that a cheque would be presented to the BBBS Wacky Walk event on November 4.

Booklets of five treat vouchers can be purchased for $2 throughout October — or while supplies last — and distributed to children on Halloween, to classrooms, sports teams, or the like. Children aged 12 and under can use the voucher for an order of French fries or apple turnover or chocolate chip cookie from November 1 through January 31, 2019.
