Roadworks near airport
Roadworks are in place at the airport roundabout while construction takes place on the entrance to the new passenger terminal building.
Skyport said that part of the work involves taking down the LF Wade International Airport sign. The letters have been preserved and will be presented to the family of the late L. Frederick Wade.
A new sign will be installed at the new passenger terminal building.
The bus shelter at the roundabout will also be removed. The affected area has been fenced off for security and safety purposes.
Mikaela Pearman, the marketing and communications officer for Skyport, said: “We would like to thank the public in advance for their patience during this time.
“The airport redevelopment project continues to be on schedule, with significant milestones reached, including the completion of the roof.
“We look forward to opening Bermuda's new world-class terminal next year.”
