Wonder to join Banton in Unity Fest line-up
The other performers due to line up alongside reggae star Buju Banton at a concert billed as the biggest of the summer have been revealed.
The strong line-up for Unity Fest will include international artists Wayne Wonder, Agent Sasco aka Assassin and Masicka. Bermudian artists Jesse Seymour, Live Wires and C’Danger will also perform, all backed by the Wall Street Band.
DJs include the mighty Stone Love from Jamaica and Bermudians DJ Chubb, Jugglin Jason, iBreeze and Black Star.
The hosts for the event will be Jabba and Young Chow of Hot 97.
A spokesman said: “We are excited to bring one of the best concerts Bermuda has seen in a long time.
“We have curated an excellent line-up with excellent international and Bermudian talent and anticipate an outstanding event.”
He added: “Early bird tickets sold out almost immediately, so we know patrons are eager to attend Unity Fest.”
Banton will take to the Unity Fest stage at the National Sports Centre on August 17 in what is expected to be a sold-out event.
The concert will start at 9pm with gates open at 7pm.
Other events to be held over the course of the weekend include the Unity Festival Welcome Mixer on August 16 at the Hamilton Princess and Beach Club from 5pm to 10pm and a Pre-Concert Bash at Pier 6 from 10pm to 2am.
A yacht party will be held on August 18 from noon to 5pm.
