City Hall was lit up in red last night in recognition of Dyslexia Awareness Month.
About one in five people live with dyslexia, a disorder that causes difficulty in identifying letters and words.
The special red lighting was organised by Decoding Dyslexia BDA, an organisation that was founded to help raise awareness about dyslexia.
The group, in partnership with the Corporation of Hamilton, hopes this month will help to inform families, educators and policymakers.
