Cricket washed out
Mother Nature put the lights out on any chance of the semi-final or final being played over the weekend.
Already thrice rescheduled, and, with soccer season now in full flow, it may well be that the Bermuda Cricket Board of Control decides to call it a day on the 2000 competition.
Such a decision would no doubt put a damper on Western Stars, who had been bidding for a fifth straight title for the year, and their 24th straight win of the season.
Stars were due to yesterday meet the winner of the Bailey's Bay versus Southampton semi-final that had been slated for Sea Breeze Oval on Saturday.
However, torrential rain dismissed any notion of that being played, hence no opposition for Stars.
And this was further compounded by more rainfall yesterday that further waterlogged the pitch, making it unplayable and leaving the BCBC with yet another decision to make.
