GOLF GLF The team of Fritz Reiter and Cleo Wilson claimed top honours during Wednesday's Ross (Blackie) Talbot Charity Invitational Golf tournament.

Every shot appeared to fall perfectly for Reiter and Wilson, who carded a net 58 to win by a whopping six strokes in the two-ball, best-ball competition involving 44 pairs.

Donald Malcolm and Douglas Hillen claimed second place with a net 64, placing ahead of Vincent John and Oliver Heyliger on retrogression, with Barbara Thomson and Norman Long a shot further back on 65.

Proceeds from the tournament will benefit the charity organisation, Summerhaven.

VOLLEYBALL VOL Bermuda Volleyball Association begin their summer season with a mixed doubles tournament next Saturday, April 15, at Bernard Park.

Competition will be in A and B Divisions. Entry fee is $15 per person, with teams asked to check in at 9.00 a.m..

GYMNASTICS GYM Bermuda Gymnastics Association stage their annual championships at Whitney gymnasium tomorrow morning, starting at 10.00. Some 35 gymnasts are expected to take part.

CRICKET CRI North Village will hold a training session at Bernard Park on Sunday, starting at 10 a.m. All those interested in representing the club in the Commercial League are asked to attend.

SOCCER SOC A soccer match in memory of former Policeman Troy James will be held on Saturday at Prospect Field, starting at 1 p.m. All are welcome to attend with the two dollar admission charge being donated to Big Brothers and Big Sisters of Bermuda.
