DeSousa, Prairie King 41st at badminton
41st out of 80 starters in the prestigious Badminton Horse Trials three-day event, which ended yesterday.
After the first phase of dressage was completed, DeSousa was in 52nd place with a score of 64.2 penalties.
She incurred four time penalties on the steeplechase course and 28.8 on the cross-country. Then with 60 penalties for two stops in the lake complex, she brought her score to 45th place after Saturday's endurance day with a total of 157.20.
Many riders had problems in the Show Jumping phase yesterday, but DeSousa only had .50 of a time penalty giving her a total score of 157.70 and 41st place.
The event was won by former world champion Virginia Leng who was a participant in Bermuda's Mini Grand Prix. Current world champion Blyth Tait finished second.
Olympian Mary Jane Tumbridge competed on Bermuda's Pizzaz, but was forced to withdraw after a dressage score of 76.4 placed her in 69th position.
