Golf Championships when he fired a one-under-par 69 in the third round at Belmont yesterday.

James enters today's final round at Mid Ocean Club on 213 -- three clear of first day leader Jarryd Dillas who, after rounds of 68 at Belmont and 77 at Port Royal, carded a 71 back at Belmont yesterday.

Dillas is competing in the boys' 13-14 division where he is 14 shots ahead of his closest rival while James, who shot 71 and 73 on the first two days, is leading the boys' 15-17 group.

Their only challenge for the overall title is likely to come from Nick Dunkle who is five behind James in the 15-17 group. Dunkle returned an even par 70 yesterday to finish on 218.

Leading the girls' division is visitor Sarah O'Neil on 243, four clear of local Stephanie Lewis.

PARISH JUNIORS HEADS WEST SOC Parish juniors heads west Under-11 and under-nine soccer teams representing Hamilton Parish will travel to Minnesota next week to compete in the US Youth Cup.

A party of 21 players, boys and girls, will fly off next Thursday to compete in the international tournament against teams from Germany, Japan, Mexico and the US, among others.

Manager Terrance Smith and coach Hassan Shakir will accompany the youngsters.

Smith said funds to send the players to the US had been raised through a 13-team junior tournament at BAA Field in April and a big community effort.

"I just want to say `thank you' to everyone who has made this possible,'' he said.
