TENNIS TEN The Heineken BLTA Open, scheduled to take place at the Tennis Stadium from June 30 to July 11, has been postponed.

With work still in progress at the stadium the BLTA has decided to hold the event in October.

On the junior circuit, the Pomander Gate Open (June 28-July 3) has been cancelled.

OLYMPICS OLY Dr. Carol Hammond has been appointed Sports Medical Advisor to the Bermuda Olympic Association, president Austin Woods said yesterday.

"She will be available to all the sports federations in the BOA and advise them on sports medicine,'' said Woods. "This is done to enforce the association's seriousness about drugs in sport and also to assist the federations.'' The BOA will be hold its annual fun run on June 19 from Harrington Sound Primary School. The event will start at 7 p.m. and is open to all schoolchildren.

TARGET SHOOTING SHO Carl Reid was top shooter with a total score of 198 out of 200 at the Coral Reefs Rifle and Pistol Club at the Prospect Range on Wednesday. Nelson Simons was in second place with a 193 score. Reid continues to lead the competition.
