Cup, and it is only fitting they record the first Fab Five sweep.

Such was their domination of the weekend's cricket, a 165-run win over Bailey's Bay in the final and a 114-run win over St. George's in the semifinal, that no one can argue that Anthony Foggo, Arnold Manders, Andre Manders, Jeff Richardson and Gregory Sampson deserve their place in the spotlight.

Anthony Foggo: The key to the weekend for Stars were the starts they received in both matches and the former St. David's opener was in the middle of both of them. Foggo, who has taken a while to fit into Stars' programme, is off to his best season in some time and his good form was translated into scores of 66 in the semifinal and 61 in the final. He and Gregory Sampson shared in stands of 111 and 98, which paved the way for two unbeatable totals.

Arnold Manders: The anchor of what has the promise of being the 1993 Dream Team. Blasted a quick 29 on Saturday against St. George's and 54 against Bay in the final. But his most significance came with the ball and there was none meaner over the weekend. Manders' 20 overs cost only 48 runs, 24 coming in each match, and at a time when the opposition needed to score. That he picked up three wickets was icing on the cake.

Andre Manders: With more titles in a month and a half with Stars than in three years with Somerset, the `Manders son in the middle' is already reaping the reward of his off-season return. A classy 66 in the semifinal was followed by three for 24 from only four overs as the St. George's late-order batsmen wilted at Sea Breeze Oval. He followed that up with a solid 24 not out in the final and then two for seven from two overs of gentle off-spin.

Jeff Richardson: Half-centuries on both days, at number five in the semifinal and number three in the final, confirmed his value to the league champions.

Batted with great authority and rarely appeared in difficulty -- for that matter, nor did any other Stars batsman. Took three catches in the semifinal and sacrificed his body to bruising extent on the rock-hard St. David's outfield in the final.

Gregory Sampson: The unsung hero at the top of the Stars batting order. Scored at an unusually quick rate to serve as a perfect foil for the more fluent Anthony Foggo. Made 54 in the semifinal and 39 in the final. The one batsman who could have batted 100 overs on the weekend if he wanted.

JEFF RICHARDSON -- Confirmed his value to league champions on the weekend.
