on Saturday following an easy 2-0 triumph over Exiles in each side's season finale.

At the same time Exiles were finalised as the second team to be relegated to Group B for next season, joining North Village Rams in taking the plunge.

Hood's celebrations were keyed by goals from Mike Haromy and Colin Alexander in a fast-paced first half.

The second half saw Hood shift into cruise control, as Exiles battled in vain for their Group B lives.

Former champions BAA Wanderers did all they could in beating Lobster Pot 2-0 on goals from Stuart Drake and Gary Wilson, yet came up a point short.

However, the day's most exciting clash occurred at White Hill field where 11 goals were shared among Island Rangers and Forties, with the Dockyard side running out 7-4 victors.

Troy Berkeley collected a hat-trick, confirming him as the league's leading goal scorer with 25.

He was aided in the scoring department by Michael Bremar, with two, and Blaine Outerbridge and Wolde Tansae both hitting for one apiece.

For Forties Jorg Wolf netted twice and Brian Fubler and Kevin Poole one each.

Another goal feast saw Spinning Wheel defeat North Village 5-1, allowing the former to avoid the drop.

Allan Fray and Des Minors each scored twice for Wheel and Keith Bell once, as Rams could only manage a consolation strike by Milgrove Romaine.

Meanwhile, in Group B, Fire Service locked up the second promotion spot next to league champions Devonshire Colts after a 2-1 come from behind defeat of the latter.

William Phillips and Wendell Simmons scored in the second half for Service to offset an earlier score by Vance Campbell.

Valley, who entered the day still with a chance of gaining promotion, failed miserably in their bid as they were crushed 5-1 by Prison Officers.

Dennis Brown notched a hat-trick for Officers, while Brian Brangman and Dwayne Bean slotted in the others. Kevin Isaac replied for Valley.
