Coupers make it a family affair: BERMUDA BRIEF

she returned to the prestigious Falmouth Road Race in Massachusetts on the weekend -- taking with her husband Colin, daughters Ashley, Julia and Heather and son-in-law Brian Leo.

All six completed the seven mile race, which annually attracts a field of thousands from around the globe, but it was Anna Eatherley who led home the Bermuda contingent.

Watched by husband Brett Forgesson who skipped the race to babysit, Eatherley clocked an impressive 44 minutes, 39 seconds, going through the 10K mark in just over 39 minutes.

However, her overall and age group positions weren't immediately known.

Veteran Mike Rickards clocked 50:28 while Ashley Couper led home the family group in 52:36 followed by Peggy in 53:21. Colin Couper clocked 55:45, Brian Leo 56:30, Julia Couper Leo 58:33 and Heather Couper 67:00.

Peggy Couper last won the Falmouth vets' (over 50) title two years ago but has spent much time since recovering from a serious leg injury.
