Leslie Wolf's three-year-old, What A Fire, won the first race of the day marking the first victory of his young career. JR Meteau Design returned to racing after a two-year lay-off under new owner/driver Samantha Hayward, winning both heats in the B division of the 1:11/4-1:13/4 time bar.

Miss LL Dane continued to race well with Colin Mello in the sulky. She won both heats racing for the first time in the 1:10-1:11/3 time bar.
