high-riding KPMG 3-1 in a Commercial Division Group A shocker.

Face value proved misleading, as Exiles entered the match firmly anchored to the bottom of the division with no points and just a single goal from four league appearances, but emerged having thoroughly outplayed their more fancied opponents.

Exiles plundered the KPMG defence in the second half and finally saw Edwin Ford shoot them into the lead. Antoine Cannonier doubled the margin with a penalty before KPMG applied intense pressure that resulted in a score by Eversley Lewis.

Cannonier, though, killed their spirit with a late insurance tally.

Meanwhile, Island Rangers were subjected to a 3-1 defeat by leaders BAA Wanderers.

An own goal in the first half started the demise of Rangers and was completed as Arthur Reilly and Richard Correia also scored. Blane Outerbridge notched a consolation strike for Rangers.

Another side making inroads after a slow start are Somerset Extros as they outlasted Spinning Wheel for a 4-2 triumph at Somerset Cricket Club.

Donnie Simmons, Radell Tankard, Jerry-Lynn Simons and Josef Gooden scored for Extros, who led 2-1 at the half, while Quinton Ming and Stevie Tucker were on the mark for Wheel.

Robin Hood took advantage of the slips by KPMG and Spinning Wheel to move two places to second in beating Forties 3-0.

Peter Slater was a two-goal hero for Hood, while Des Minors had one.

In Group B, Devonshire Colts All-Stars had some of their glitter removed when North Village Rams waltzed in and stole a 1-0 win, with Cal Dill's 75th-minute goal the decider.

A goal feast ensued in the match pitting Valley and Lobster Pot as the former ended up 5-2 victors. Substitute James Tyrell scorched a hat-trick and Kevin McNeil tallied two goals, while Kevin Wilkin and Joe Barboza scored for Pot.

Craig Tyrrell put away a penalty to give Genesis the early lead, but Prison Officers secured a 1-1 draw through Quincy DeShields.

Another match had Fire Service draw 1-1 with Park United. Troy Furbert scored for Service while Harry Simmons equalised.

In Alliance Group A, Somerset derailed leaders North Village 5-4 with Kwame Tucker (two), Shawn Riley, Roger Brangman and Clifton Anderson all scoring for the west-enders. Sean Dill (two), Tillman Darrell and Ramon Douglas netted for Village.

Dandy Town defeated PHC 2-0 on goals by Jeffrey Butterfield and Lionel Furbert.

Devonshire Colts hammered Hamilton Parish 4-2. Paul Hollis, Kenny Dill (two) and Phillion Webb were Colts' marksmen while Raymond Knight and Kenneth Williams replied for Parish.

In Group B, Devonshire Cougars downed previously unbeaten Boulevard 4-2 with Devon Brangman leading the way with two goals, aided by Troy Burgess and Troy Smith. Clevie Rogers and an own goal accounted for the Boulevard scoring.

Prospect trounced BAA 7-1 with Terry Thomas and Don DeSilva each scoring twice, while Colin Paynter, Andrew Rollins and Erskine Smith had one apiece.

Hugo Pereira scored to prevented a shut-out.

Elsewhere, Somerset Eagles outlasted St. David's 4-3.
