Famous Olympian on Island
Day and will officiate over a fun run at the Botanical Gardens this Saturday.
Olympic Day will be celebrated by 196 National Olympic Committees around the world this weekend.
Moses, on the Island as a guest of the Bermuda Olympic Association, will address some 80 dignitaries and Bermuda Olympians of the past 60 years Saturday afternoon at Ariel Sands.
Thr event will allow the former Olympians to come together at an inaugural meeting of the Olympian Club and the BOA will present an IOC trophy to a person who has assisted in mass sport, president Austin Woods said.
The fun run, at 4 p.m is organised by the Bermuda Track and Field Association.
Prizes will be presented to winners in various categories. Members of the public will have an opportunity to meet Moses on Sunday during a walk around in the Dockyard from 12 noon to 3 p.m.
Moses, a two-time Olympic gold medallist and former world record holder, won 122 consecutive races in the 400-metre hurdles leading up to the 1988 Olympics. He is now a successful financial consultant in Atlanta.
