Fenton in hunt for junior title

For the second successive day Fenton put an eagle on his card, scoring a three at the par-five 511-yard 13th hole.

Meanwhile, in the same division Bermuda's Chaka DeSilva was only six shots off the lead following a second round of 78 for a 36-hole total of 155.

Another Bermuda junior, Rajesh Pachai, went round in 80 for a total of 164.

Some 62 golfers are competing in the 16-18 group.

In the 12-15 division, Chris Smith moved into contention with a second round of 78 putting him on 158 in third place, just five shots behind leader Matt Michaels of Hamilton, Ontario.

Oliver Pitcher carded a 77 to move into sixth spot with a total of 160 and he's closely followed on 163 by Mark Robinson (84-79) and Chris Brough (83-80).

Bermuda's first round leader Eric West, who fired 78 on the opening day, slipped to an 88 in the second round and lies on 166, followed by Matthew Durrant (167 -- 86-81), Ryan Mello (169 -- 82-87) and Ravi Pachai (179 -- 92-87).

A total of 26 players are entered in the 12-15 group.

Among the girls, Bermuda's Jennifer Spurling carded 83 and remained in second spot, 10 strokes behind Canada's Sarah Thompson (159), winner at Bermuda's Atlantic International tournament earlier this summer.

The Niagara tournament was due to wind up yesterday.
